Holiday Workshop
Welle Wirbel Wasserspiel
21.-23.10.2025, 10am - 1pm

In collaboration with Saskia Heinzel

The holiday workshop WelleWirbelWasserspiel is all about water: we explore what happens when ice melts, reflections are created, or movement meets stillness. The starting point is the Eislampe (Ice Lamp) by artist Kitty Kraus, which uses simple materials and chance to reveal exciting processes.

On the first day, we will visit the Kunstmuseum Bremerhaven together, discover the collection, and let ourselves be inspired by Kitty Kraus’ work. We will take a close look: What stories does a work of art tell? How do materials change their form and meaning? What do we see?

On the following days, we will go together to our project room in Lehe, the Goethe 45 studio. There we will experiment with water and other materials, research and develop our own creative ideas – freely and playfully. Finally, we will organize a small exhibition to show the resulting works.

For anyone who is curious: The holiday workshop invites children aged 8 and above to discover their creativity and develop their own artistic ideas.

Participation fee for all three days: 10 euros
Duration: 3 hours including break (please bring your own food if required)
Maximum number of participants: 15
Meeting point: Foyer Kunstmuseum, Karlsburg 1
