Wer entscheidet, was bleibt?
24-STUNDEN LIVE-ARCHIVIERUNG. PERFORMANCE VON SEESTADT ARCHIV
26.02. bis 27.02.2024

Introduction, 6 p.m.
24-hour live archiving, 7 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The SEESTADT ARCHIVE is building a physical and digital archive with objects related to the topic of “Bremerhaven”. This is a private archive that currently contains over 10,000 objects and has been carefully digitized and categorized so that all content will be available in the future. The Seestadt Archive defines its collection and the archive as an artistic and curatorial practice and deals with different dimensions of a self-sufficient, private archive. Who decides what stays? Who or what defines what goes into the collection and the archive? To what extent can an archive and a collection observe and accompany urban and cultural dynamics, and involve the public in this process?

As part of a performance, the Seestadt Archive is archiving live for 24 hours without a break in the Kunsthalle Bremerhaven. Visitors are welcome to join in at any time and watch the Seestadt Archive sort and archive, enter the archive or Livestream to examine and comment on the objects.
