Presentation of older and current editions of the Kunstverein Bremerhaven.
The publication of editions or annual gifts, i.e. works of art in a smaller, limited number, is closely linked to the history of the art associations in Germany. In addition to organizing exhibitions of contemporary art, the art associations also pursued the goal of enabling larger sections of the population to acquire art in the form of originals. Individual art associations were founded as joint stock companies specifically for this purpose.

In collaboration with some artists whose works are presented in the Kunsthalle, the Kunstverein publishes editions for sale from time to time in this tradition. A selection of these will be presented in the foyer of the Kunstmuseum from November 22nd.
