Jerry Zeniuk was born near Lüneburg. He now lives and works in New York and Munich. Since 1993 he has been a professor of painting at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts. He is considered a representative of so-called “Fundamental Painting”. Like artists such as Brice Maden, Robert Ryman, Raimund Girke and Katharina Grosse, he is also working on the further development of “Color Field Painting”, color field painting in the tradition of American painting after 1950. In 1977 Zeniuk was represented at the documenta 6 in Kassel. In 1990 there was a retrospective exhibition in the Kunsthalle Bremen. We are delighted that after more than ten years we can once again show you pictures by this internationally famous artist in the state of Bremen.
