Klaus Staudt
Retrospektive
22.09. – 27.10.2002
Klaus Staudt, born in Otterndorf in 1932, taught at the Academy of Design in Offenbach am Main until 1994. In the 1960s he continued the tradition of concrete art in Germany. Color, form, structure, but also light and shadow are the central aspects of his work. He systematically and constructively researched these corresponding relationships and effects in his pictures, drawings and objects. To mark his 70th birthday, the art association is showing a retrospective of this important artist in the Kunsthalle, following the Wilhelm Hack Museum in Ludwigshafen and the Museum Quadrat in Bottrop. The exhibition is sponsored by the Kreissparkasse Wesermünde-Hadeln. A catalog will be published.
